Diana Meo, Board Member
Diana Meo has served the field of special education for over 25 years in many roles from teacher, educational coordinator, assistant director, and director.  She is currently employed by South Putnam Community School Corporation as their Preschool teacher.  She loves the field of education and enjoys discovering how young minds learn.
Diana has lived in Putnam County since 2000.  She moved to the area because her husband, Bill Tobin, is employed by DePauw University.  They have one child, Emma Tobin, who is in her first year at College of Wooster in Wooster, Ohio.
This is Diana's first year on the board of Round Barn Daycare, and she looks forward to the opportunity.  She believes daycares should support the entire child; forming positive relationships with families is an important element to the success of any program serving children.
Heather Shoemaker
Born and raised in Rossville, Indiana, Heather is a graduate of Purdue University with a BA in Communications and has spent the past 21 years in a wide variety of roles within Lilly. Her latest role was in the GCO Platforms COE and Governance team where she worked very closely with the US and global affiliates to manage all change requests for the Veeva CRM and Medical CRM platforms. Outside of work Heather lives on a farm in Greencastle, Indiana with her husband Rodney and son Ethan (a freshman at Indiana State University) where she raises Irish Dexter cattle and harvests honey from her 7 beehives.  She is also on the board of directors for the Greencastle Maker’s Space “Castlemakers”, as well as the board of directors for the Round Barn Daycare.  She loves working outside and doing home improvement projects, and most weekends can be found in her basement woodshop making gifts for family members.
Wes Kendall, Pastor
Wes Kendall has been the pastor at Greencastle Presbyterian Church since 2009, and he and his family feel especially grateful to be tied into this community so deeply.  His own appreciation and passion for childcare stems from his own experiences growing up and the wonderful care providers who were there for him and his single mom.  Wes also believes in the importance of ongoing connection and support for healthy teams to thrive, and he has loved seeing Round Barn striving for greater quality in its ability to care for kids and our local families.  This is such an important ministry, and he is just so thankful for all those who pour their hearts and souls into this work, especially from Round Barn's director and staff.
Kara Jedele
Kara Jedele has been in education for 14 years as a middle school and high school teacher, as well as coordinating volunteer efforts to provide project-based learning initiatives for the local public schools. Kara and her husband, Paul, have two children, Mason and Marley, who attend school in Greencastle. The Jedele family prefers to be on the water, spending as much time as possible at the family cottage in Michigan. Both Mason and Marley attended Round Barn Daycare when the family moved to Greencastle in 2012. Kara joined the Round Barn Daycare board in 2021 with the goal of collaboratively developing a sustainable program where the kids, families, and staff are able to thrive.
